Deal Heat Dashboard: Which Proposals Need a Follow-Up Right Now?
How Nudji automatically ranks your proposals Hot, Warm, Cold, or Dead — and how to use the pipeline to prioritise your follow-ups.
The Deal Heat Dashboard automatically sorts your proposals by urgency — so instead of looking at a flat list of proposals and guessing which to follow up first, you see a ranked pipeline with the hottest deals at the top.
Available on Starter and above.
Heat Status Labels
Every active proposal is assigned one of four heat levels based on how recently a client engaged with it:
| Status | Colour | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Hot | Red | Very recent engagement — act now |
| Warm | Amber | Engaged recently, still relevant |
| Cold | Sky blue | No recent engagement |
| Dead | Grey | No meaningful engagement for an extended period |
The status updates in real time as your proposal analytics come in.
How Proposals Are Sorted
In the Deal Heat view, proposals are sorted:
- Hot first — freshest engagement at the top
- Within the same heat level — sorted by most recent view date
- Dead proposals — shown last, within the same date sort
This means the proposal that needs your attention right now is always at the top of the list, without you having to manually sort or scan.
Closed Deals Accordion
Proposals marked Won or Lost are automatically moved out of the active pipeline and into a collapsible "Closed deals" section at the bottom. This keeps your active pipeline clean without permanently hiding closed deals from your dashboard.
Click the "Closed deals" label to expand the section and review them.
When Deal Heat Is Active
The heat sort replaces the default creation-date sort when all of the following are true:
- You're on a Starter, Growth, or Pro plan (or an active trial)
- The status filter is set to "All" (filtering by Won, Lost, etc. disables heat sort to avoid confusing a filtered subset)
- There is no active search query
If you switch the filter to "Won" or search for a specific proposal, the dashboard switches back to recency sort automatically.
"Deal Heat Capped" Notice
If you have a very large number of proposals, the dashboard loads the most recent ones for heat sorting. A notice appears at the top of the list when this cap applies. In practice this only affects agencies or power users with very large libraries.
Using Deal Heat Effectively
- Follow up Hot deals promptly. Fresh engagement is peak interest — this is your window.
- Warm deals are still worth reaching out. A follow-up while engagement is recent shows attentiveness without being pushy.
- Cold and Dead deals may need a different approach. A "touching base" email or a proposal revision may be more effective than a direct close attempt.
- Combined with Nudge Alerts. The Deal Heat Dashboard shows current status; Nudge Alerts notify you the moment the status changes. Use both together.
